CDF GD-Mud

A specially formulated blend of natural and synthetic polymers suspended in a non-hydrocarbon oil base. GD-Mud is a unique formula that produces excellent viscosity which does not shear thin to support superior hole cleaning when compared with other liquid polymers. GD-Mud provides a complete drilling fluid system, without the associated problems of mixing and shearing powder polymers.

Application:

GD Mud provides excellent viscosity and enhances filtration control in most water types and is suitable for use as a complete mud system in conditions where hole cleaning is the primary function of the fluid. The non-hydrocarbon oil base is environmentally friendly, providing lubrication to help reduce vibration and rotation torque. In areas where swelling clays or unstable ground is problematic the addition of CDF Clay-Cap or CDF PM-33 to a CDF GD-Mud fluid system will produce a more inhibitive fluid promoting hole stability and improve sample recovery.

Liquid Anionic Polymer

NC Mud

Forms a protective polymer film on the drill core and the walls of the bore hole. The polymer film reduces water invasion into unstable formations that can result in hole collapse and poor core recovery. When used in conjunction with CDF Clay-Cap and CDF GD-Lube, it forms a highly inhibitive fluid that will stabilize reactive clays and shales and promote hole stability and improved core recovery.
