CDF Bio-Core

Forms a protective film over the core and on the walls of the bore hole. Poly-Core reduces water invasion into hydratable dispersive clays and shale, providing excellent cuttings encapsulation and borehole stability.

Poly-Core is also very effective at stabilizing loose, friable formations. Poly-Core is used to form a single product low solids fluid system or can be combined with high yield Bentonite to prepare a complete fluid system and is effective when added to inhibitive salt systems such as NaCl and KCl based fluids.

CDF GD-Mud

A specially formulated blend of natural and synthetic polymers suspended in a non-hydrocarbon oil base. GD-Mud is a unique formula that produces excellent viscosity which does not shear thin to support superior hole cleaning when compared with other liquid polymers. GD-Mud provides a complete drilling fluid system, without the associated problems of mixing and shearing powder polymers.

Application:

GD Mud provides excellent viscosity and enhances filtration control in most water types and is suitable for use as a complete mud system in conditions where hole cleaning is the primary function of the fluid. The non-hydrocarbon oil base is environmentally friendly, providing lubrication to help reduce vibration and rotation torque. In areas where swelling clays or unstable ground is problematic the addition of CDF Clay-Cap or CDF PM-33 to a CDF GD-Mud fluid system will produce a more inhibitive fluid promoting hole stability and improve sample recovery.

Liquid Clay / Shale Inhibitor

CDF Clay-Cap

A specialized product that is an alternative to bagged Potassium Chloride (KCL). Clay-Cap contains minute amounts of chlorides; it is composed of a sophisticated mildly cationic complex that functions much like KCL to control shale and clay activity.

Application:

Clay-Cap provides effective shale inhibition properties to water-based fluids without the chlorides associated with KCL based systems. A 2 % KCL solution contains 9700 ppm of chloride while the equivalent CDF Clay-Cap contains only 165 ppm of chlorides. The significantly reduced chloride concentration greatly reduces the environmental risks associated with the use of KCL fluids. The shale stabilizing properties of Clay-Cap are significantly enhanced when used in conjunction with encapsulating polymers.
